The i3+ doesn't have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested. It may be stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include clearing out any toys or clutter it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters clean to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. Battery life is about an hour and a half of constant use. It takes three hours to fully charge.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After connecting we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
